Turkey is on the verge of making significant investments in all sectors of environmental technology in order to approach the established EU standards.
Due to the high foreign dependency on crude oil and natural gas, the use of regenerative energies is gaining importance. The geographic requirements for the building of solar and wind power, as well as geothermal facilities are favourable and are being promoted.
The large deficits in waste disposal in many projects are currently being eliminated through large development projects. Therefore private services from international enterprises in the form of BOT/BOOT models will also be in demand for several years into the future.
The same large potential also exists in waste water treatment solutions. This area is one of the top priorities, especially promoted by the communes.
